Tutoring approach & Lesson fees

Tutoring offers a completely personalised journey, very different from standard classroom teaching. Every student is unique, and what holds them back can vary: sometimes it’s gaps in knowledge, sometimes exam technique, or simply a lack of confidence or focus. My role is to identify exactly what each student needs, guide them through the content in a way that’s personalised for them, and equip them with the tools to achieve the very highest grade they are capable of. My approach is structured around three pivotal steps:

  1. Identifying Gaps – Pinpointing areas of weakness or misunderstanding, ensuring no topic is left unmastered

  2. Filling the Gaps – Through tailored lessons and personalised homework, I solidify understanding and build lasting confidence

  3. Syllabus Mastery & Exam Practice – Beyond content, I sharpen exam technique, refine essay writing, and use past papers and timed practice to develop resilience, confidence, and self belief under exam conditions

With over 12 years of tutoring experience, and training in performance psychology, I understand how to help students maximise their potential under pressure.

Above all, my approach is results-driven but also supportive: I focus not only on subject mastery but on building discipline, self-belief, and academic confidence. When these elements come together, students consistently achieve outstanding results.

My students

My students come from diverse backgrounds and schools, encompassing state, grammar, and private institutions, aged between 9 and 22: from entrance exam candidates to GCSE, A-Level and IB students through to university undergraduates. Some may be catching up due to missed opportunities at school, personal circumstances, or simply not connecting with the subject initially. Others aim for the pinnacle of academic excellence. Regardless of the starting point, I possess the expertise to guide each student to their desired outcomes.

In addition, I'm adept at supporting students with dyspraxia, dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia, and other learning differences, tailoring my approach to their individual needs.

Schools that some of my student attend (13-18 years):

Dulwich College, King Edward's Witley, Bancroft's School, the Lycée, Eton College, Millfield, St Paul's School, Westminster School, City of London School, GEMS FirstPoint School, Fortismere School, St Michael's Grammar, Highgate School, The Latymer School, North London Collegiate School, Mill Hill School, King's College School, Dame Alice Owen's School, Sevenoaks and some more

University students (18-22 years):

My university students mostly come from The London School of Economics and University College London, this is because I am most familiar with the Economics course structure/programme at these universities as well as the exam format. However, sometimes I do work with students from other universities.
